Equipment Borrowing Policy
[Draft] Equipment Borrowing Policy: An AgX member who would like to borrow equipment must send a notice to the list-serv with a list of what they want to borrow, including any identifying equipment code(s), date of checkout and expected return date, and they must first confirm there is not a conflict with other members who may need the equipment during the given loan period. If they don’t hear back from anyone within a couple of days, they can assume there is no conflict. Then, they must notify the list-serve when they have made the return to the space.
Film Renting/Borrowing Policy
[Draft] Film Renting/Borrowing Policy: Available films are the property of the filmmaker(s). An AgX member who would like to borrow/rent films for teaching purposes must send a notice to the list-serve with a list of the films they would like to borrow, identify the purpose that the film(s) are being used for (e.g. to screen in a class), the dates of checkout and return, the rental fee(s) (if applicable), and must confirm there is no conflict with others who might need the print during this time. If you don’t hear back from anyone within a couple of days, go ahead. Then, notify the list-serve when you’ve made the return to the space.
Key Access Policy
Updated Draft] AgX Key Access Policy / Agreement
As an AgX member, I understand I can request key access to the space once:
I’ve participated in AgX virtual or in-person member meetings and events for three months or more.
I’ve received an introduction and can agree to basic safety, security, and cleaning procedures for entering/exiting the space from another AgX member.
I’ve developed familiarity with (either through prior experience and/or through 1:1 instruction from another AgX member) how to safely use any AgX facilities that I intend to work with on my own, including the darkroom or any specific pieces of equipment.
For any AgX facilities that I don’t have a deeper knowledge of at the time that I receive a key, I agree to ask for additional skillshare support and mentorship on those facilities from another AgX member before trying to use them on my own.
I’ve confirmed in writing via e-mail to the AgX welcoming working group at hi@agxfilm.org and/or the full collective list-serv at agxmembers@googlegroups.com that I’ve understood and agree to this key policy.
