The AgX Film Collective is opening our doors for Waltham Open Studios weekend November 1-2 from 12pm - 5pm each day and for a special Saturday 7pm after hours screening of recent works by AgX members.
All events are free and open to the public!
Saturday, November 1
12pm - 5pm: Doors Open - come by to say hello and view our darkroom, lab, screening space, and looping video of member work.
1pm: 16mm Steenbeck Editing Demo by AgX member Colin Barton
Come check out AgX Film Collective with a demonstration on linear editing in 16mm and how this machine still has effective uses in modern art practice. With some practical examples this hands-on demo of historical film editing techniques will be discussed with attendees.
7pm: After Hours Screening at AgX - See full program details
Join us after hours for a special screening program of recent works by AgX members, including works on 16mm and video, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers. Doors open at 6:30pm.

4pm: Interactive Feed Video Installation Demo by AgX member Yue Hua
This demo presents an experimental installation created with TouchDesigner, where live video feeds are transformed into dynamic, responsive visuals. The system reacts in real time to presence and movement, allowing visitors to see themselves become part of the projection environment. Through camera input, keyboard interaction, and sound, visitors can engage with the work, triggering distortions, and generative media effects.
